As a little girl growing up in the south of France, Linda Belkebir was inspired by her mother's sense of style and european fashion magazines. By the age of 13 she was creating her own clothes. Later, Linda traveled extensively throughout Europe and North Africa drawing even more inspiration from the various cultures, art and music. She eventually made her way to New York where she settled. She was immediately drawn to the downtown music scene. She soon began styling and consulting for several Hip Hop bands (A Tribe Called Quest, De La Soul, etc.). Linda continues to pursue her passion and works regularly for various celebrities, fashion magazines and several fashion and beauty clients. She worked as a personal stylist for artists such as Cyndi Lauper and Common for whom she created a unique and individual look.
Linda is also a costume designer and has worked on select independent movies such as "The Passenger", "Raving" directed by Julia Stiles and featuring Zooey Deschanel, and "Apartment #5C" directed by Raphael Nadjari (selected at the Cannes Film Festival ) among others. Her credits also include the NBC TV show "The Hilton Project" .
Parallel to her career, Linda was the creator of a unique concept store called Le Sous Sol. This fashion forward boutique promoted a new wave of belgian designers such as A.F Vandevorst, Veronique Branquinho, Cathy Pill, Sofie D'hoore… The store received numerous articles and attention from the international press and fashion editors.
