As a little girl growing up in the south of France,
Linda Belkebir was inspired by her mother's sense of style and
european fashion magazines. By the age of 13 she was creating
her own clothes. Later, Linda traveled extensively throughout Europe and North Africa
drawing even more inspiration from the various cultures, art and
music. She eventually made her way to New York where she settled.
She was immediately drawn to the downtown music scene. She soon
began styling and consulting for several bands. Linda continues to pursue her passion and works regularly for various
celebrities, fashion magazines and several fashion and beauty clients. She worked as a personal stylist for artists such as Cyndi Lauper and Common for whom she created a unique and individual look.
Linda is also a costume designer and has worked on select independent movies such as "The Passenger", "Raving" directed by Julia Stiles
and featuring Zooey Deschanel, and "Apartment #5C" directed by Raphael Nadjari (selected at the Cannes Film Festival 2002) among others.
Her credits also include the NBC TV show "The Hilton Project" (aired in spring 2005).
Parallel to her career, Linda was the creator of a unique concept store called Le Sous Sol. This fashion forward boutique promoted a new wave of belgian designers
such as A.F Vandevorst, Veronique Branquinho, Nathalie Verlinden, Jean Paul Knott, Martin Margiela, etc.
The store received numerous articles and attention from the international fashion press.
